what is love?

Love .. the international feeling that all people .. all nations ... all cultures .. all thinking levels of literacy and illetracy .. look for .. fight for .. create leagcies of .. poetries .. songs .. even fight wars over !!

There are people who believe blindly in it .. and some doubt it due to experiences of deceipt from loved ones .. where in others omit its existence and necessity!!

I would be one of the wierder people with an extremely wierd notion about it!! well I did say in my profile that i am a very wierd person!! ;p

You see .. i do believe in love .. and its power and its purity and all the wonderful things associated with it .. but what I dont believe in ... is that it does exist anymore! there is no truth in love anymore .. there is no purity! there is no love for the sake of love! believe me .. there isnt!

according to me .... love is an illusion .. a drama that people inact on each other .. a means to an end! everyone has a purpose behind this act of love ... I know many will disagree .. but let me explain...

lets first consider the category of people that use the name of love for purposes completely selfish ... it could be materialistic as in wealth.. or it could be emotional greed as in lustic desires!! please be realistic and agree that there is a huge percentage of people that use the name of love in order to satisfy their sexual desires!!

then you have the very sweet people ... the very nice people .. who fall in love .. they too put an act when in love .. they will do anything "to gain" the love of the person that they love .. some would go over-board and try to force the other person to love them .. by hook or by crook :p ... but then others who would be in love and are not obsessed .. but nevertheless their final goal is to get the love of the other person ... that it would develop into a relationship .... and many would actually dream of a "happily ever after" story ...

ofcourse some could come up with the examples of family love .. but unfortunately .. personal development and ambitions happen to be the feeling that over runs any other humanitarian feelings that we as humans should be having ... inspite of everything...

then there is the parental love .. but unfortunately even that is going down the drains .. since parents now love and bring up their kids with the intention that when these kids grow up they will reciprocate these feelings and will in turn take care of their parents at their old age .. and "pay back" a part of what was done to them in their childhood ....

All this said .. ofcourse there lies an exception in everything on this planet .. in people .. in laws .. in everything that we see ... and ofcourse there are exceptions in all the situations that i have noted above ... but then I still have to live to see thos exceptions .. where love exists in its purest form ... love without it being a mean to an end ....... in the end!!

And at the end .. this is only a personal opinion ... as you have ur personal opinioin ... which ofcourse Id like to know!! ;)
